Evans explores the influence of new technologies on human feelings and behavior through sculpture, video and video installations, internet platforms, and performances. Starting with the relationship between human beings and machines, the artist focuses on the value of emotions in contemporary society, exploring today’s forms of human subjectivity, the representation of social roles, and the idea itself of the body and mortality. Selected exhibitions of her work include Castello di Rivoli Turin, Tate Liverpool, and the Berlin Biennale. Evans is a Belgian-American and lives and works in London.
