Serving Lakewood's oldest and most historic commercial corridor, the Lakewood-West Colfax Business Improvement District (BID) and its partners are working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders to ENERGIZE the revitalization of this historic corridor in a way that aligns with the vision and values of the community.

The overarching goal is to help shape West Colfax into a vibrant destination where locals and visitors come to create fresh opportunities, connect with diverse experiences, and celebrate culture, both old and new. 40 West Art's a state certified Creative District located along historic Colfax Avenue in Northeast Lakewood, Colorado. They work to support and promote Lakewood West Colfax as a vibrant cultural and economic destination through community arts spaces and events, and by supporting creative activities and endeavors.
The West Colfax Community Association (WCCA) is a coalition of citizens, business owners, community leaders and local organizations working together to foster and sustain an engaged community and the economic vitality of the West Colfax Corridor.
The Colorado Enterprise Zone (EZ) Program is designed to promote a business-friendly environment in economically distressed areas by offering state income tax credits that incentivize businesses to locate and develop in, and non-profit organizations to assist with the needs of these communities.
Previously known as West Colfax MuralFest, this vibrant arts festival evolves into its 5th year bigger and better as Colfax ArtFest. Join us on First Friday, August 2nd and party all night into Saturday August 3rd to celebrate the creative momentum of Colfax Avenue.
Placemaking is integral to the mission of all our organizations & partners. Placemaking transforms the surrounding physical landscape, increases community pride, builds a sense of place and creates visual markers for visitors and residents alike.
Published annually, West Colfax Lately is a glossy, print and online publication that showcases the people, places, and activities of Lakewood’s historic West Colfax Corridor.
The Creativity Lab of Colorado (the Lab) is a collection of collaborative capabilities and expertise—all centered around service to the collective Colorado creative community with creativity, innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit leading the way.
The BID Board is made up of a diverse and engaged group of business and property owners located in the district. They dedicate their time and efforts as volunteers to provide governance for BID activities aimed at supporting the revitalization and economic development of the West Colfax corridor.
